Spring in the Yorkshire Dales

SAM_1137As I followed the Dales Way, in my usual meandering, back-packing, pub-crawling fashion, a particular tune came back to me time and again. It was ‘Elizabethan Serenade’. also known as ‘Where the Gentle Avon Flows.’ It certainly fitted the broad, lush valleys of the gentle Wharfe.
